Networking for Dollars

Business Professional Women - Durham Region Chapter
It was a pleasure delivering "The Power of Networking -- With a Little Help from my Friends" and sharing the podium with illustrious Gary Polonsky, founder of UOIT, who headlined this event. At last count this BPW Durham fundraising conference called Roadmap to Success: Making Connections raised over $600 for BPW Durham's bursary fund-- last hope funding for young, underprivileged women attending Durham College, UOIT and Trillium College. Over the last decade, BPW - Durham has helped over 50 young women like Ashley attend college or university.

Sue, what a dynamic, information-packed presentation! The interactive format meant there was never a dull moment -- everyone got to play!

I find networking a challenge, personally, since I'm am shy by nature. Networking ... With a Little Help From My Friends delivered a complete how-to checklist for networking success, including strategies to help shy folks like me.

Today, I picked up some tips and secrets, and by putting them into play immediately, I may have also picked up some future business!

Bravo and thank-you!

Great Talk!!!
Quick note to let you know how much I enjoyed your talk.
I have been asked to get my 30 second infomercial before, and with the information you gave us, I had no problem developing one.

Your "networking" workshop last Saturday was amazing. For the first time I actually sat down and wrote a 30-second pitch that I see myself using in an networking session.
